BeerBaron (85), Grove City, Ohio, USA Dec 8, 2007 On tap at elevator. One of the better pumpkin ales I’ve had; the flavor was subtle spice, and didn’t taste like flavoring was added. thin head, nice balance. Easy to drink and could go for more than one, which is saying something for this style Tmoney99 (3414), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 3, 2007 Draft at brewpub. Poured a clear orange brown color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate nutmeg pumpkin aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium spicy pumpkin pie flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good seasonal beer. Dogbrick (2165), Columbus, Ohio, USA Nov 8, 2005 This is the November selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program. Clear amber color with a thin and wispy white head. Minimal lacing. Lightly spiced aroma of pumpkin and sweet ginger. Light and crisp body with a nicely subdued spice flavor. The pumpkin is not overly assertive which is a good thing in my mind. Nicely balanced sweet/spicy character and really easy to drink. The finish is short and sweet with the same assorted spices. Better than I was expecting. dwyerpg (1981), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Nov 7, 2005 This is probably the highest I’ve ever rated a spice/herb beer and certainy the highest I’ve rated a pumpkin beer but this deserves. The 2005 version, it has a faint aroma of nutmeg and pumpkin. These as well as ginger are noticeable in the flavor. An excellent spice beer.
