COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A bigger cousin of the English Pale, India Pale Ales were originally brewed with extra alcohol and lots of hops, both of which served to preserve the beer on the long voyage from England to the colony. Dry hopped with a distinct floral essence.

Pours hazy copper with a beige head. Very good lacing. Aromas of sweet caramel malt with a hint of grapefruit. No discernible hop presence. Flavors are sweet grapefruit and caramel with a hint of pepper and a tingly hop burn. Sticky mouthfeel. This is an unusual IPA. It’s very malty--not much hoppiness. It’s enjoyable, but I think this should be categorized as a pale ale, not an IPA.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a nice dark orange that is a bit hazy. White head that fades quickly. Aroma is pretty sweet. Some floral notes but a lot of bready and biscuity notes. Taste is similar to the aroma. Very sweet for an IPA. I think it's too unbalanced on the malty side. Biscuits, caramel, toffee, maple syrup, floral taste. Not a bad beer but a less than average IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle from Lucky’s Market. Copper orange pour with medium dirty white head. Aroma is big sweet caramel malt and brown sugar. Tastes are toasty, cereal, sweet, floral, grass, perfume. Not for me.

Bottle. Shared by JTclockwork. Golden amber pour, aroma of pines and citrus. Taste, yikes, overly sweet, socks, off putting. Not good.

Ferris (3054) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 19, 2014
Bottle - Sweet fruity hops and esters. Cloudy gold with a white decent head. Weird fruit esters and a malty backbone and a bit dusty. Not great and a bit fruit and sweet.

Patrickctenchi (3458) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - JUN 11, 2014
Bottle: Pours hazy amber with a short, off-white head. Breadheel, syrupy fruit aroma...pine. Taste is bittersweet...apricot, orange-peel, grapefruit...semi-tropical. Very malty and resiny...pretty close to being an imperial.

12oz bottle into Le Listermann - nose is citrus/resin. Sip adds grass and "lots of hops" as the description states. Bottle states 7.6% and might make it a DIPA - but I do not move the world, rather the world moves me into more nothingness around a shiny orb. hops hops hops and grass.

Very inexpensive for the wallop[ it provides. Giant rototilling india pale ale kick in the jaw. Finish is rototilling down into my gullet. You want personality, you got it, right in yer face.
