3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not real hoppy or bitter, but a nice variation on the IPA. I thought of it as a robust American Pale Ale.

Pours golden with a nice gravelly head. Aroma is very malty with an undertone of apricot. Taste is sweet over ripe pear along with strong malt and floral presence. There is bitterness as well but feels apart in some way. Medium body and carbonation, fairly smooth. Overall I am still unsure as to whether or not I like this one. Interesting to say the least.

@ Champ’s in Columbus OH. Clear medium amber with a frothy white head that slowly drops to a full head cover, porous full cover of lace. Taste is caramel malt that grows neatly through the palate. Midway, a strong jab of hops deliver a shot, but then yield enough for the malt to join in through the finish. Solid taste on both sides, excellent with food.

Wow...does taste kind of buttery. Buttery, but does have a nice IPA flavor. Bit flat on draft.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is pretty light but I can get a little citrus hops and caramel malts. Flavor is not really pleasant. Mostly an earthy tone with some citrus hops.

Pours a clear orange with a medium sized white head. Aroma of malt and citrus hops, very faint. Flavor of citrus hops and sweet malt. Light bitterness through the finish.

Nope. Sorry. Tastes more like a butter brown ale than an ipa. Won't repeat.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Save On. Fresh. Copper orange with flat head and lace. Minimal aroma of hop spice and toffee. Refined toasted toffee and minimal fruit with medium assertive toasted grain and pine. Fairly dry and effervescent. So nondescript that it is literally hard to describe. Nice medium light body. As an example of a traditional IPA, probably pretty good. As an example of what I like about IPAs, not so much. Definitely nothing wrong with it though, and my wife is enjoying it, and when it comes to IPAs, she a snobby bitch.

On Draft at Schmidt’s in Columbus. Good beer and good sausage. What’s not to love?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 1, 2013 Bottle from Dad in Akron, OH. Thanks! Pours a cloudy orange with thin cream colored head in a tulip. Light aroma with citrus and musty funk. Taste is mild for an IPA with light citrus hops and low bitterness. Some bread and grain taste accompanies the finish. Fairly light in body. Not terribly well balanced. Seems more like a pale ale. Not bad, but nothing that will command much bottle trading.

Average run of the mill IPA. Easily forgettable, but still well crafted for what it is.
