Pasteurised bottle. Also available on keg as Old Smoothie Mild.

A traditional dark mild at 3.6% abv. The beer is well balanced with a full roast flavour. The use of Crystal malt and Roast Barley give a deep underlying characteristic flavour, which is balanced with Fuggles hops as the sole variety.

Bottle. The aroma is very malty, sticky and sweet. The head is small, very creamy and dark white to beige with a rather short duration. The body is nearly black. The taste is light bitter and dry in the mouh, reminds me a little bit of licorice. The finish is long, mild and light bitter. The body is light to medium strong and dry-creamy without much carbonation.

[Bottle, gift from my wife - thanks!] Black with ruby hints and a large beige head. Moderate carbonation, a little too much for the style. Dry, vinous aroma. Initial taste smokey, followed by sweet wine/port. Develops into slight sourness before a quite dry and slightly bitter finish. Good mild this.

Bottle [Courtesy of Paul, thanks buddy for bring this excellent stuff] Average beige bubbly head that mostly lasted. Fair display of lacework. Light brown like color. Aroma of roasted malt, fruity notes and light wood or smoke like notes as well. Over the palate I picked up chocolate as well. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Moderated sweet and bitter flavor. Light chocolate like finish.

from crackedkettle.com - pours a very dark brown colour under a beige and persistent foam, beautiful lace; charming biscuity maltiness with light nutty notes; rounded mouthfeel with a light to medium malt backbone; nice malty reminiscence with more biscuity notes in the finish; decent bitterness

An almost black colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and dark fruits. The taste of coffee with roasted malts and fruits like dates. It’s bitter and dry. The aftertaste is in a pleasent way dry and bitter.
