COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION Thomas Clarkson, born in Wisbech in 1760, was the leading organiser of the campaign that led to the abolition of the Slave Trade in 1807. A persuasive weapon in that campaign was a print of the slave ship, Brookes, which showed the horrific overcrowding suffered by slaves. This beer is a memorial to Clarkson and reminder of an iconic image in the fight against slavery.
