COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Pasteurised.
The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavours & aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with Wheat malt and Rye Crystal to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop dominates the malt flavour and results in a satisfying pint.

Bottled@Monks Café, Stockholm. Pale ambery orange golden colour with small beigeish head. Aroma is hops, mild herbs, grass and some mild notes of caramel. Flavour is hops, grass, mild caramel along with some wood and sap (not as sweet as birch sap though). Mild grassyness in finish.

Bottle thanks to mesandsim. Aroma is really hoppy, citrus and grassy, american style pale ale character alround. Taste is similar, very appealing indeed, the hop character is really good and exactly what i like in a beer. Very unexpectidly good.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2010 Bottle, shared by fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a decent off-white head. Butterscotch, pale malt, some cookies and a citrusy hoppyness in the aroma. The flavor is much the same, finishing with citrus and some bitterness. Medium lenght. Medium body. Far from a winner, but quite drinkable and with some refreshing qualities. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. 080822

Bottle. A clear, golden beer topped by a small, white head. Citrusy and flowery nose with biscuity malts and something reminiscent of honey. Biscuity pale malts in the mouth, medium body fullness and with citrusy hops that don’t add much bittterness. Some peppery notes too. A quite tasteful and quenching beer, obviously in better form than the last time I had it. Still, nothing special. 091120

Bottle@Proeflokaal. Fruity and light grassy aroma. Clear yellow color, white head good lace. Light sweet, bitter, light fruity, hints of citrus, light grassy. Also some woodiness or something else that I can’t really figure out. Nice, refreshing ale.

Bottle from Morrisons. Deep gold in colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of jammy fruit with some grassy hops. Flavour began with a touch of caramel before a hoppy finish. Good.

Copper gold. Hop aroma; later some sweet, buttery caramel. Taste is mainly hoppy though, and somehow the result isn’t totally pleasing.

Bottle. Poured a dark orangey colour with a medium size head. Plenty of citus aromas, the taste is quite fresh with a sharp bitterness and ends with a dry finish.

UPDATED: MAY 31, 2008 Jan 2008 500ml bottle from Morrisons. A vegetable malt with some spice. Hops are not well balanced between the English and the American. Hops are quite firm, but not fresh and fragrant - a dull bitterness, rather cardboardy and powdery. Some greasy butter in here. Not impressed. [2.4]
May 2008 Floral fragrance. Nicely balanced. Tasty and refreshing. [3.2]

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2008 Bottle, out of the BHS selction bucket and back-to-back with the Newt. Orange amber with a slick of white suds, and notably silky m/f. Nose sweetly citrussy and pollen-sprinkled, with obvious peach, rose, orange and elderflower. Flavour-wise, plenty more of the same- aromatically floral and Turkish-delight accented with an assertive hop bitterness in the finish preventing things getting overly cloying or perfumey. Refreshing, tastily hopped ale.
