COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Originally brewed at 4.6%. Has been available in bottle.
Golden Newt is a pale session bitter 4.1%. The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavours & aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma. Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with Wheat malt and Rye Crystal to provide a full flavoured beer. The lavish use of late hop dominates the malt flavour and results in a satisfying pint.

On draught. Golden orange with a short lived head. Tastes smooth, with a hint of bitterness and slightly sharp finish, a bit woody. Very light fruity aroma. Quite reasonable and could have it again.

had on cask at the wheatsheaf while watching the chiefs kick the hurricanes ass all over the park! Interesting beer i guess is the best thing to say....hop characters but more along the harsh astringent nature than the good fruity stuff....
