Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale and fairly earthy malt, grassy bittering hop. It was so generic i couldnt be assed to finish the half.

Cask handpull, The Reindeer, Norwich, whupping the myopic octopus 4-1 at pool. Tastes EXACTLY like Munch Bunch chocolate yoghurt, Muller Light Vanilla with Dark Chocolate to bring the metaphor into the current century. Sourish and slightly woody, chocolate all over it. Ruby with a beige rim. Acieeeeeeed pumpclip, brazenly endorsing the ingestion of hallucinogenic substances. Don’t tell the Portman Group about that one. Nostalgic, fun, shitty beer. A trip in every sense.

Cask conditioned, handpump, Wooton WMC. A dark brown coloured beer with a lasting off-white coloured head. The aroma is full on dusty chocolate which follows through to the mouth where it seems powdery. The flavours are decent enough but the lack of beeryiness is plain to see. Instead it’s a little reminiscent of the bottom of a mug of hot chocolate which has been allowed to go cold. A bit of a joke perhaps? Having said all that I’d happily drink another half.
