4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 dantheman278 (1316) - SCOTLAND - DEC 30, 2012
Bottle at home (cheers Benjii!) Slightly hazy dark amber to copper, thick frothy off-white (slightly pink?!) head that sticks around for ever. Looks beautiful. Huge pumpkin pie on the nose, cinnamon sticks, spicy hop, something fizzy and candy and berry-ish even? Lovely earthy sweetness to start with, then caramel malts and a slightly spicy vegetal touch, followed by a wonderfully clean green pepper hop finish that lingers just enough. Yet another stonker from Benjii and Barry - oh you guys!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerCast_Rich (1676) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 30, 2012
[cask, Cloisters Edinburgh] Hazy bright orange pour, thin white head. Aroma of pumpkin and cinnamon, with similar flavours. There was a fantastic balance between the two, however – neither overpowered the other. I was expecting it to be quite sweet, but actually finished pretty dry. The sweet pumpkin and cinnamon/nutmeg flavours faded towards the end into that aftertaste. Very nice [25102012]
