Bottled. A black beer with a huge fluffy dark brown head, seems infected. The aroma has notes coffee, brettanomyces, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and hints of brett, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. Long-lasting gusher! It pours cloudy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee, toast, earth, toasted oat and mild acidity. The taste is roasty, earth, toast, dry-roast, coffee, light smoke and burnt cocoa and dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting,,,,

Bottle at ChrisO’s pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. Dark brown cloudy beer, with small off white head. Nose is light malty, bit of caramel, slight very light banana ester, slight smokey tea aroma. Taste is quite watery, vague malty, caramel, not much else.

330ml bottle, at tasting on 18 November 2012. Thanks to Craig for providing. Dark brown. Generous beige head. Malty toffee and molasses notes on the nose. Vaguely smoky and rather "scented" flavour which I guess comes from the Lapsang Souchong. Which, as teas go, I don’t really like actually. Rather light body for a stout. Finishes with a fair bit of residual sweetness. Interesting but just not really my cup of tea. As long as it floats Craig’s boat that’s the main thing though.

Bottle 330ml.

[ Trade by cgarvieuk ]. Clear dark brown colour, speaking, with a large, frothy, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, chocolate, grass, light wood. Some odd thing in the aroma - maybe it is oat. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fizzy, dark fruit, dark malt, tea bitter, oat acidic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft and fizy. Thanks Craig, very grateful you did passing this beer on, Cheers Craig and well done on you 10K milestone. [20130112]

Bottle sent from secret Santa cgarvieuk. Great big foamy beer that actually foamed out the top of the bottle. Dark beer with an oppressively foamy brown head. Very lively on the tongue. Nose of some smoke and puffed wheat cereal. Flavor of welcoming camp fire, molasses and dark brown sugar sweetness, and the puffed wheat cereal. Licorice and burnt coffee in the finish. Tasty but subtle smoked beer. Too much carbonation. Thanks to Craig for sharing.
