Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a medium sized yellow-white head. The aroma was fairly strong sweet pine, grapefruit, resin and apple. The flavor was very sweet and had sour and tangy malts with undertones of nut and caramel and moderate pine, grapefruit and tart apples. Medium finish. Fairly thick bodied and syrupy. So sweet that the hops really lose prominence and this one comes off not particularly extreme at all. Tasty though. Good but not great.
