3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the Knick. Big hoppy aroma, grassy, piney and pretty fresh. Sweet notes of caramel and some toffee. Roasted hint of coffee, too. Dark coppery amber clear with thin off-white head. Medium body with medium carbonation. Starts mildly sweet with toffee and biscuit, tons of piney grassy hop flavor and a big bitter finish. Mild alcoholic sweetness and warming. Finish is mild with sweet nutty notes and muted bitter hop resin. Fairly clean after.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at smiling chameleon. Pours orange with a half inch of white foam. Slight floral notes on the nose. Has a bit of hop flavor on the tongue. Finishes clean. Kinda boring for style.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 17, 2012 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark red-orange color with an enormous creamy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong pine, grapefruit, lemon, Sweettart candies and pepper. The flavor was strong pine and grapefruit with notes of lemon, pepper, nut, tons of caramel and followed with Sweettart candies, perfume and lingering pineapple. The finish was long, sweet and hoppy with grapefruit, pineapple and caramel lingering. Fairly full bodied and the alcohol was well hidden. Excellent.
