3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was sweet, citric and fruity. The flavor was tart and bitter with moderately strong apricot and citrus and faint notes of sour caramel underneath. The finish was long with apricot and citrus. Medium body. Nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On nitro, at brewpub. Pours a very cloudy orangish body with a one finger creamy beige nitro head. Very green fresh floral hops on the nose with some light fruitiness. Nice and raw aroma, rather unexpected for me because I thought that the nitro serving would mute the aroma a bit. Pretty nice flavor, light and smooth with nice floral hops, just a touch of fruitiness but otherwise rather clean. On the drier side, making it quite quenching and gulpable. Light bodied, kinda creamy in texture with the usual flat-ish nitro feel. Pretty decent, maybe one of the best beers that I’ve had from Elk Creek.
