Tap. Pours clear black with an average, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, toffee, roasted), light hops (earthy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of brown sugar and vanilla. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, chocolate, toffee), light hops (earthy), and average esters (fruity) with notes of brown sugar and vanilla. Medium body, carbonation, and creaminess, low warmth with a medium-sweet finish.

On nitro tap at the brewery, definitely the way it should be served. Pour is nice dark brownish black, creamy tan head. Aroma is big, big caramel, almost candy-like, with hints of some chocolate and coffee, vanilla notes in there as well. Taste is big mix of caramel and vanilla, touch of chocolate, some slight roast, finishes fairly sweet. Pretty nicely done, but a bit sweet and unbalanced.

Tap at brewery. Dark brown/black body with a brown head. Caramel and vanilla in the nose with roasted malts. Fairly strong caramel, vanilla flavor with roasted malts. I can’t decide if the flavors are too syrupy. Kind of tasty.
