UPDATED: DEC 2, 2014 (Cask @ Ealing beer festival. July 2010) A Porter that’s worth going to the festival for alone .!!!!. this aroma that comes at me from the glass is fucken nice chocolate , coffee , rich cake , floral hops . Big ass beige head that leaves shitloads of lace on the glass , like a slug trail ..above dark brown. And its a proper beer for drinking not dissecting ...
Huge flavours considering its low boost ... this beer grabs your palate and gives dividends that the aroma showed - YES A really rich , smooth and flavourful porter - !r8 cask at Golden Lion Rochester; December 2013 . Amazing porter ; its nice to re try , really world class ; its got great flavours , vibes and is easy to drink. Excellent .

Draught at the Halifax Beer Festival 8 May 2010. Beautiful looking dark/black colour with beige head. Strong coffee aroma with roasted malts and a hint of vanilla with a touch of alcohol. Full-flavoured with rich fruits and smoky notes dominating. Bitter finish that also hints at sweetness. Very easy on the palate. Rather good.

Cask - Planet Thanet Festival 2010, Margate. Poured dark brown, almost black with a fine, bubbly tan head. Packed full with roasted malts, a smokey edge and backed by lovely dark, dried fruit notes. Hugely roasty on the tongue with some slight burnt tones, sweetned by touches of prune and ending with a lingering coffee finish. Medium in body with a soft and creamy palate and low carbonation.

On tap at GBBF. Opaque black brown porter. Sharpish and sour. Mild coffee and roasted malt. Mild hoppy finish with a grapefruit aftertaste. A little to edgy to be great. 2.9

Bottle. Clear deep brown beer, untidy bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry with good fine carbonation. The dark malts are slightly roasty and carry a little dry coffee and mild cream. Trace of citric hop and then more obvious bitterness, but it’s never harsh. Finishes smooth and semi dry with bitterish dark chocolate lingering on. Decent.

Cask-conditioned at Mr Foley’s Cask Ale House, Leeds 23/06/09. Dark mahogany with a slight tan head. Big caramel and coffee aroma. Flavour started with some sweet, milk chocolate before roastiness kicked in, leading to a warming alcohol and moderately bitter finish. Excellent.

Cask at Chelmsford Winter BF. Easy-drinking, smooth, roasty porter with a sticky hop-bitterness. Big flavor but you could drink it all day. Or you at least think you could.
