It’s a hazy black-brown porter with a red hue and in spite of the handbottling also a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of licorice and a little coffee. The mouthfeel is rather oily. The flavour has notes of licorice, bitter coffee, light peat-smoke, a light sweetness and the finish has hints of salty licorice. It’s a very nice porter. Gravicask. A superb porter. Sweet toffee, coffee, treacle and roasty notes. Obvious hops and fruit. Good balance. Lovely mouth feel. Bittering finish. It’s got the lot. Lovely.
