Amber colour slightly hoppy a a little rich on the palate with a sweet honey flavour. A hint of dryness in a lasting roast finish.

cask @ the rake. Very lovely pint indeed. Aroma of grass, nettles and cardboard with a tad of dust and smoke. Dark amber colour. thick creamy head. Sweet malt, a bit of peat and bitter hop in taste. very well balanced, quite good.

Cask-conditioned at The Castle, London EC4 11/1/08. Deep amber with a foamy white head that left rings down the glass. Aroma of red fruit, grassy hops, chocolate and a touch of roasted malt. Flavour had plenty of dusty chocolate without being sweet, before a long, bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily and dry, carbonation is flat to soft. (271207)
