The Rake. Wow. Bags of flavour and character. Body is robust. Stunning beer at any strength, quite remarkable for being 3.8%. This is a damn good brewer.

sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2011
Cask (gravity) - The Duke of Wellington, Norwich. Clear copper coloured body & a small though lasting off-white head. Difficult to get much aroma-wise. Nutty, toasty, biscuity flavours, some mid fruit orangy tang and a drop of earthiness with an OK finishing bitterness. Fair for the ABV but no great shakes. Lightish body, soft palate textre, short to medium length finish. Fairly dull overall & ordinary but drinkable enough.

Cask conditioned, gravity dispensed at Harbury Beer Fest ’10. Amber with white head. There is a slightly salty, sulphery note initially, light on the palate then a flowery, slightly scented hop and a dry bitterness. Quite decent.
