Beyond the Pale is a pale golden bitter brewed with a touch of Amber Malt. Pronounced floral hop aroma from the inclusion of North American Cascade hops and a long, dry hoppy finish.

Bottle. Yes, pale with medium sized head. A relatively highly carbonated british bottle conditioned ale!? Hops dominate this beer from the beginning to the very long bitter and dry finale. Medium bodied.

Cask, Out of the Vaults, Leicester. Golden with a bubbly white foam. Aromas are light malts with lots of sweet, spicy hops. Dry and bitter. Flavours are dry and very bitter, this is well hopped. Has bitter grapefruit and a dry finish. A good one for hop heads.

[Cask at GBBF 2004] A hazy dark orange beer with a fine head. The aroma is sweet hoppy, while the flavor is roasted and very nutte, but also with some smoked notes.

Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival. Orange Gold colour with thick white head. Very strong dry bitter flavour emanate from this delicious brew. Uncomprimsingly bitter and hoppy, a fine light bitter.

500ml, bottle conditioned. A little overconditioned if anything as it was so lively when opened that dispersing the sediment around the bottle contents was unavoidable. Consequently the colour was a hazy orange/gold. Very intense lemon and flowery Cascade aroma. On the palate, it's bitter lemon all the way with any other nuances of flavour completely overwhelmed. And that finish - dan is quite right to call it blisteringly dry. I would add a few other adjectives - mouth-puckering, uncompromising, austere, unyielding, searingly harsh. Like biting on a raw lemon. Phew! A real hop monster, with nothing more forgiving to balance it out, but I still quite like this. From beersinabox.com

UPDATED: APR 17, 2004 Hand pulled at the Old Joint Stock, Birmingham (during their week-long real ale promotion). Very yellow, with some scraggy white fizz on top. Crisp, floral with some fruit, leading up to a blisteringly dry crescendo. A big pocket of hop twang. Sunny, pleasant beer, but very dry.
