Cask - The Royal Oak, Poringland. A clear and golden amber coloured beer with a loose-ish one-finger lasting & lacy white head. Like Horlicks on the nose, all malty, biscuity, yeasty & bready backed by a subtle citric note. A mix of bready, biscuity pale malts and bitter, pithy citrus flavours on the tongue. Quite bitter in the end despite the initial softness. Light to medium body, firm & soft mouthfeel with a lingering bitter finish.
