Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber with white head. Drying bitter, quite flowery in character, slightly perfumed with a biscuity body. Lasting palate, decent enough.

Cask conditioned handpump The Pub Leicester. An amber coloured beer with a white head. Pretty malty for Elland. Leafy hops. Late bitterness. A touch of tea. An oddity really, and I wrote that without meaning the pub on enigma. There may be oats in this? I don’t know but it’s intruiging.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale bit of honey sweetness off the malt, grassy and very bitter, bit of herbal hop with a massive dry finish. Too dry and bitter in the finish.
