A light Yorkshire Ale with delecate hop flavours balanced by underlying malt sweetness. An excellent example of a Pennine light mild.

Gravity @ the Pigs Ear Festival, East London, 2003.
This was then end of the festival. Officially there was nothing left that SilkTork or I hadn’t had (mainly SilkT hadn’t had). Even in the light of assault charges recently placed against us (lodged by our livers, not the young lady mentioned earlier) we sipped these last 2 rates proudly, reflecting on the day’s efforts. Standing wasn’t a chore, it one of the keys to our success. I personally need to thank the big man ST and probably his better half for keeping the food coming, especially when I didn’t want it. To this final beer, well it wasn't the star of the show but it was consumed with a smile in our hearts and on our faces.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with fruity esters. The flavor is sweet - almost artificial with light notes of malt and citrus, leading to a slightly bitter finish. The body is light.

Cask, GBBF 2007. Clear gold, thin white head. Some grassy hops, but sweet nose. Mouth is slightly carbonated, malty. Quite fruity, but not very robust. Finishes sweet and coating.

Cask gravity at Red Lion, Snargate. Pale copper colour with thin white head. Nice light session bitter, some pale malt, quite juicy. Subtle hop on end. Juicy malt is good.

Pint pulled at The Market Porter at London Bridge (London), a light straw colour with a creamy white head. A flowery hop aroma. Citrus hops dominate the flavour, with a bitter/dry finish.

Cask at Derby Winter ales festival. A very light gold colour. Aroma of rising dough, and tasted like it too! Mouth filling. Smooth but bland. Sweetish. I drank this as my boyfriend (a mild drinker) hated it, and I quite enjoyed it although I don’t usually like mild.

Cask, Derby Winter Fest 06. Golden brown with a white head. Aromas are biscuir and chocolate with refreshing lemon. Flavours are light malts with dry biscuit. Thin - but then it is a light mild. Has hints of pear and citrus. Light and refreshing, as it should be.

Straigh from the Cask at The Chesterfield Beer Fest on 04/02/05. (in the "buy 4 Milds get one free" offer) Light straw yellow / brown colour. An interesting (& quite rate these days) "Light Mild" Very dry & hoppy. Definate hay & country flavours in there. Quite unusual in the aftertaste.
