Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF 2007. A deep red-brown beer with a thick tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of berries, raisins, and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of berries, caramel, alcohol, and prunes, leading to a dry and slightly roasted finish. It has a good body.
