Oct 18, 2009 Cask, Bacchus, Ncl. What starts out as a reasonable sweet malty pale ale quickly descends into a cloying and metallic disappointment. Becomes more astringent and unpleasant as it trudges on.
Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 29/11/08. Golden with a slight white head. Buttery aroma wit some grassy hops. Flavour much the same with a hint of nettles and a short bitter finish. Didn’t really come together for me.
