Deep amber color, white-reddish head. Aroma of malt, hints of caramel, some floral hop notes. Taste is full of malty notes, nuts, caramel, some roasty notes. Love the aftertaste, pure malt!

On tap at the Brauereigasthof: Chestnu-amber coloured with a reddish sheen, clear, stable loose off-white head, herbal-caramelly nose with a rural touch; almost medium bodied, really soft, moderate sweet (caramelly) and bitter flavour; slightly lingering dark-malty (almost a bit bready) and bitter finish. Full of character.....

MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAY 6, 2012
(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a tall and tanned foamy head. Moderately toasted malty aroma with notes of butterscotch, toffee and milk chocolate, accompanied by delicately herbal and spicy hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a mild carbonation. Toasty malt-character, slightly buttery with notes of chocolate and caramel; mildly sweet and hop bitter finish with toasted malt and caramel. Well-crafted Franconian Lager; has to be consumed very fresh, or directly at the brewpub at best. 04.V.12

Shaney (2428) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2013
Bernsteinfarbenes Vienna mit cremigem Schaum. Lieblicher Malzduft, leicht röstig und getreidig. Frisch im Antrunk, leichter Körper. Karamelltöne und dazu auch nussig im Geschmack. Der Hopfen bittert angenehm nach. Die Übergänge dabei sind fließend und harmonisch. Gute Süffigkeit. Die Frischenote verdient besondere Erwähnung. Fazit: Gutes Bier in biederer Flasche.

Reddish nice amber clear body with beige head, lacing. Aroma is grain, grass and rich malt aroma. Palate is medium full-bodied and has smooth mouthful carbonation. Taste is mild , malty with torgue of dry hops in there. Very simple malty Lager, yet with solid malty roundness and is easy to drink.

bottle from pivnizub - thanks! Clear red-brown colour, large off-white head. Malty base, roasetd malts, biscuits, slightly grainy. Combined with some very good aromatic and bitter hops this makes a very nice Vienna.

Der Gewinner des Abends. Rot in der Optik - da gefaellt nicht nur die Flasche.Ein paar Beeren im Aromen mit einer milden Malzigkeit. Sueffig, einfach zu trinken und zum Ende hin mild im Hopfen. Nett.

bartlebier (1480) - Belchum im Breisgau, GERMANY - AUG 5, 2013
50cl bottle, Sagasser Coburg. pours a pleasant reddish brown, spicy aroma with hints of earthy hops. Easy-drinking, with dominant typically Franconian upfront peppery hops and lean, rounded caramalts. Could have this rarish type of Rotes/amber lager more often.
