3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 77ships (2155) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - FEB 14, 2013
33 cl. swing-top bottle sampled @ Café Belga. Dark brown with a beige head. Sweet chocolate milk, mellow chocolate, sweet coffee & light coffee grounds and coffee. Dark fruits and liquorice, bit too light & too simple but not too shabby. Goof for a Belgian Stout (the style as opposed to a stout from Belgium).
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 NosirIwont (1721) - Aalborg Vestby, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2013
Bottle. 9.0%. Best before 03.13. Pours dark brown/black with a beige/khaki head. Peculiar aroma; sweet and tart and somewhat fruity, but in a kind of weird way – maybe dried fruits with alcohol?! Flavour is fruity, lightly tart and somewhat roasted. Coffee finish with an alcohol bite. Dry, lingering hoppy-grassy/roasted note, which doesn’t really work. Overall hard to pinpoint
Don’t really know what to make of this - it feels like something might be wrong with it, but then again it might be intentional as well. But not bad though... Hmm... 13.02.13.

Bottle. Pours a hazy red/brown with a big, frothy off-white/beige head. Tart roasted aroma. Dusty. Sweetish milky overtones. Flavour is tart and roasted with a metallic touch. Roasted finish with slight apple notes. A decent beer, but a bit too tart for my taste. 06-02-09.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 StoutHead (230) - DENMARK - FEB 11, 2013
Bottle. Pours deep-red with a small light-brown head. Smells malty. Tastes are roasted malt, a bit of fruit and a bit of coffee. Sweet at first, then a slightly bitter aftertaste. Tastes a bit like an ale - but more "porter-like" (hard to describe). Quite good.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Beer3000 (3718) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2013
330 ml bottle @ Restobières. Dark brown, almost black body with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, mild liquorices and a hint of coffee. Flavour is sweet, roasted malt, mild liquorices, coffee, dry fruit and some bitterness. Fine body and a good aftertaste. A nice example of sweet Belgium stout, alcohol is dangerously well camouflaged.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fletchfighters (815) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2013
330 ML swingtop bottle
A--- Pours like cola and settled black. Half finger of light brown head. Spotty lacing.
A-- Slightly fruity at first. Apple, pear and cherry, then a lot of malt with espresso, coffee, oak and smoke. With a dry licorice finish in the nose. Lots going on.
T-- Much like the nose. Fruity at first and then more the the stout character sets in. Bigger sweet and dry licorice profile in the taste.
P-- Not exactly dry but not exactly sweet either. Fairly high carbonation for the ABV and a but thin but the body carries it well. Unique and fun beer to have tried.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gerbeer (854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 5, 2013
30 ml swing top bottle. Pours a very dark brown with full head that leaves spotty lacing. Aromas of burnt malts and coffee grounds. (Can’t detect spruce...) Flavors of tobacco, roasted malts, dark fruit, light smoke/wood and Belgian yeast. Light/medium body. Interesting Belgian spin.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 DesertDevil (194) - Arizona, USA - JAN 27, 2013
On tap at Yucca Tap Room. Pours solid back with a tan ring for a head. Aroma of fruity Belgian esters (apple and pear) with light oak and roasted malt. Taste of pear juice, smooth oak, toasted rye, with dark cherries making an appearance midway through the tulip. Dry palate that turns more tart toward the end. Funky, interesting brew.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 graziano85 (175) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JAN 22, 2013
Almost black colour with a light brown head. Smells malty and hoppy. Flavor is heavy with notes of chocolate, sweet taste but with a little bitter finish. A good stout.
