COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered.
The only self-proclaimed ‘Belgian stout’ – 9% by volume – named after famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirrot and considered a World Classic.
Made in small batches, then lagered for ten days in German oak casks.
"The Hercule is considered by many to be a classic – very malty, but dry, with a hint of sweetness in the finish, and perfectly hopped. It has a very distinctive and intoxicating spicy aroma of fresh spruce that suddenly, irresistibly, fills the room when the swing-top is released. This unique house character probably derives from the strains of yeast used by the brewery – and possibly from the fermentation in oak – because the beers are made entirely of malt and hops, without any spices or sugar."

Zeer moutig en nootachtig boeket, geur van gedroogd fruit, gebrande koffie, chocolade, kruidig gist, alcohol, zoethout. Ruikt fantastisch. Moutige licht bittere afdronk.

Bottle. Dark brown nearly black body. Medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and dried fruits. Flavour is simpler, sweet and roasted malt. Chocolate and coffee notes. The bitterness is felth early and stays for the fairly long finish full of roasted malt. A good stout well balanced event if I would have like to taste more complex as the nose. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Negra opaca, ligeramente rojiza a la luz. Espectacular espuma, cremosisima y de varios dedos. Y perdura y perdura.. Aroma amargo/agrio característico de las stouts. Ahí se acaba lo parecido. Fantástico cuerpo y sabor excelente mezclando frutas del bosque, té negro, humo. Esconde de forma increíble los 9 gradados. Deja un gustazo...memorable, durante minutos. Excelente.

330ml flip-top bottle, opens with a loud pop. Lovely. Very dark brown color. Huge size, thick tan head, stays. Grainy, dusty roast, coffee, very faint dark chocolate in aroma. Nice deep roasted malts, faint hazelnuts, slightly sour, fine hops in taste. Roasted bitterness. Roasted malts, almost ashy, in aftertaste. Alcohol is very well hidden. Nice one.

Draught at Belgian Beer Weekend in Osaka. Pitch black with an off-white head. Smokey with a hint of spice. Very well-balanced with just enough hops.

DWF; Bottle, flip top, 33 cl. Pours large, black with a moderate lasting, lacing, tan head. Nose is heavy roasted malt, belgian yeast, coffee, dark fruit and licorice. Taste is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily to creamy, carbonation is soft. Belgian stout indeed.
