330ml flip top bottle - Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, toffee, forest fruits and bitter oranges. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, toast, orange peel and spicy hops in the finish. Slightly more than medium body, with some sweetness and a little boozy kick at the end. Excellent balance and very tasty. I enjoyed this one.

33cl flip-top bottle from Carrefour. Pours a nice amber colour (quelle surprise!) with a small, but robust head. Aroma is pleasant; malty and sweet with a floral hint. The beer has a solid body with malty sweetness and an inviting flavour that is unmistakeably Belgian. Very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Warning: this will much more appeal to fans of say Orval than my rating would indicate... it’s a case of "not my cup of tea"
Orange, very cloudy amber with a thick creamy head.
The smell is at first refreshing but it has a sharp attack to it and a hint of fruity sweetness.
The taste is hoppy, rather bitter grapefruit-like, sharp with almost hidden underneath some malty sweetness.
The aftertaste is still rather bitter but there’s more rounded malt coming through.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 rondphoto (983) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Deep orange amber with lots of floating sediment. Persistent light head and spots of lace. The taste is all about lightly spiced, full-bodied caramel malt. The taste grows through the palate until a carbonated alcoholic bittering brings things back into balance at the finish. Big, best sipped, excellent to finish a nice evening with friends.
