Bottled - Criterion Leicester. A reddy amber coloured beer with a smallish tan coloured head. The aroma is spicy and fruity with a hint of apple. Also yeast in the aroma. The taste is nice and fruity with candy sugars and yeast notes. A good clean Belgian.

Bottled. Hazy brownish amber colour, sediments floating around, small white head. Aroma is sweet and plummy. Flavour is yeasty, malty and spicy. Sweet caramellish aftertaste with a sting of alcohol.

Well clouded, yeasties invaded yellow-maroon color, growing a mostly staying off-white belgian head. Estery nature is vibrant, enjoying peach, orange, banana and mango influences over a thick, sweet malt base that avoids syrupyness thanks to a strong carbonation. Otherwise, it mingles through biscuity toffee laden layers of flavors, coated by whiffs of tart sourdough breadiness and riesling auslese juicy fruitiness. Strong cerealic suggestions I’ve come to associate with Ellezelloise yeast, particularly potent in Hercules. Pretty good, nicely rounded ale with strong artisanal character from the yeast, but sweet and a bit strong on the alcohol despite drying attempts toward the end, maybe it’s hoppier in Belgium, but this was bought pretty recently at Table & Vine.

(on bottle)tan color, medium, white, lasting head. Has alot of malts and creamy aromas to, kind of light, considering the heavy alcoholic taste, OMG. a very nice drink, but way too dominated by the alcohol for me.

Light brown, slightly coppery color, little yellow head. Spicy, fruity, sweet, mildly alcoholic, nice Belgian aroma. Spices, pepper, fruits, mild chocolate and strong dryness in flavor, ends with spices, mild citrus and fruits. Lasting aftertaste with medium alcohol.

The initial aroma is fruity but quickly gives way to a strong maltiness. The beer is a cloudy bronze and the head is off white and very short lasting. The initial flavor is of malty sweetness and finishes with a slight fruitiness. Throughtout the beer maintains an astringint quality.

6 Jun 2005 - (B&B Enich Anders) - Sweet malt & spiritous aroma. cloudy amber-light brown colour with some suspended particles that are a bit off putting, reasonable head retention but ordinary lacing. Spiritous malt, some fruit & hop flavours. Bitter tangy finish, thickish mouthfeel and some lingering flavours.

Deep bronze colour, hazy. An aroma of rye bread and caramel from the Munich malts. Good flavour balance, spicy. Medium body, maybe slightly watery. Definitely a beer that I will have on my shopping list next time I visit Belgium- this being a highly underrated beer and thus a nice surprise.

330ml. swing top bottle. Medium amber color, slightly hazy. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, sweet and yeasty. A medium bodied Belgian Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Orange, banana and clove. Rather sweet, caramel malts, brown sugar and molasses. Lively carbonation. OK, but kind of boring… Touch of alcohol bite at the finish, other than that it’s well hidden. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
