3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber hue, with a rocky beige head, yeasty nose, with a fruity accent of ripe apples, hint of sicy cinnamon, toffee, caramelized malt, with a flowery hops aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet fruity yeasty character, with a nice ripe apples fruitiness, some nutmeg and cinnamon spicy accents, faint floral hops, warm alcoholic feeling, leading towards a sweet winey fruity and a floral hops bittering finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Super Saver. Pours turbid North Carolina brown mud colored. The aroma is vinous, red grapey, with more fruit, some caramel malt, brown sugar, and floral hints. Tastes semi-dry, with some caramelly malt hints, plus cabernet, brown sugar, fruit, yeast, and honey, plus a dash of spice. It gets drier as it warms. As with the Quintine Blond, this one has a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle, with a corresponding increase in the aroma and flavor layers and complexity. Both the Quintine Blond and Ambree have impressed me. I’ll be on the lookout for the Stout.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: DEC 22, 2007 (rated 21.07.05) Drinking this beer is the equivalent to cozying up to a warm fire in a British winter. Nice amber color, though the abundant yummies swimming about make it look a bit dingey. Rich, deep aroma that smacks of spiced rum. Undeniably strong smell of alcohol - not for the faint hearted. Pour this thick juice down slowly and let the flavours release all over your thirsty tongue. A spicy mixture of maple syrup, brown sugar, raisin and oddly, grapefruit. It stays with you for some time - definitely a slow drinker. A naughty pleasure.

thanks to ’da skunk’ for this one
It pours an opaque dark gold color with a large head. The flavor is very apple cider sweet w/ some winey notes and a tangy finish.
