3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Murky dark amber with a big white head and some lacing. Spicy nose with some malt fruit notes. Yeasty flavor mixed with a malt base and a bitter hop bite at the end. This is like a light version of the stout which I like a lot. Much more drinkable on a summer evening.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33 cl bottle, bottled on? Dark amber, vivid carbonation, initially enormous white head which nevertheless collapses rather quickly. Rich, sweetish, syrupy aroma also revealing yeast and a bit of brown sugar. Flavour: molasses, alcoholic warmth, walnuts, finishing with a punching, even pungent dry hoppy bitterness. Light tartness. Full bodied, rewarding.

a mes rate:
im rather fond of this one. its almost like a light version of the fantastic hercule stout from the same brewery. appearance is a usual amber with quite a fierce head that died down eventually. there were a few yummies in there even though i have not poured the last 1/4 inch yet. smells like an amber too with a little more yeast. the feel is lively and more like a darker beer and quite thick. the yeast comes through in the flavour too with a touch of citrus and bitter aftertaste. the 3rd time i have had this and it will not be the last. oh and having just poured the last of it the sediment is fairly heavy and there were plenty more yummies lurking in there!

Sampled 5 month too old: Dark brown, large soft head. A real fine sweet maltyness, nicely balanced with bitterness from the hops. Perhaps a little bit too bitter. Great beer! Rebuy!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very strong brewery. Some tart malt and good fruit with a gentle lingerin spice and herb nose. Very rounded mouthfeel with perfect carbonation. Floral and grassy on the finish with good marzipan malt.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber-orange beer with nice light colored froth. Aroma’s of zuurdesembrood, yeast, exotic spices, some fresh and dry fruits and a vegetal greeness in the nose. Good round taste with a fine balance between the light-sweet touches and the light sourish accents. It has some hints of malts, yeast, fruits and bitter hops in the end.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy amber color, medium beige head. Sharp sweet and sour fruity aroma with yeasty notes. Good heavy flavor, fruit and caramel with hop and yeast tones specially in the end. Rather rancid, but still quite tasty and enjoyable.
