330ml swing-top bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Big shot when opened. Hazy apricot in body colour. Pearl white, egg shell head, lacing rings down the glass. Sweet dried fruity aroma added by brown malts. Sweet flavours of candi sugar, plums, caramel and ripe lemon. Modest yeasty fruitiness towards the ending. Well bodied. Soft in the mouth. Enjoying, gets little too sweet in the long run (Tromsø 10.05.2015).

Bottle. Cloudy brown amber color, fine medium, lacing beige head. Nice fruity, spice aroma, perceptible yeast. Taste is dry, slightly sour, noticeable and pleasant bitterness. Slightly phenolic, fruity, yeasty, malty aftertaste, but without the sticky sweet tone many beers with this ABV come with. Medium mouthfeel, decent carbonation. Pretty damn near to my perfect beer, could get used to it.

Pours a cloudy medium amber body with an eggnog-coloured head that isn’t that large, but it’s very long-lived and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Strong aroma of pleasant Belgian yeast, lots of spices, generic fruits and banana. Fainter elements of caramel in the back, and even vague hints of barnyard. Strong flavour of spices, lots of spices, and plenty of Belgian yeasty notes. Also alcohol in the back, and black pepper in the dry finish. Light to moderate sweet taste and the long-lasting finish is unusually bitter for a Belgian. Mid-bodied with a quite lively carbonation. A dry, tasty, yeasty and spicy brew with an extra touch of bitterness.
