Frothy, off-wjite average head that’s slowly diminishing. Body is hazuy amber. Aroma contains malts (cookie, hay, molasses), hops (citrusfruits, spruce), yeasts (dough) and grape, raisin, (sweet) apple and pear, pineapple, cola and forest fruits. Flavor starts off light acidic, then light bitter and light acidic, followed by light acidic and sweet and finishing in bitter. Body is medium with creamy texture and soft carbonation. More bitter and less sweet then expected. Misses complexity but is enjoyable anyway.

Draught at Delirium Café (mercilessly undercooled), 08/2014. The gentle dried caramels and subtle spice of maple syrup and old honey meet in this well-balanced, but overly amped amber strong ale. Will try and revisit its suspected subtleties in greater detail bottled at a more appropriate temperature - this good brewery deserves a better tap pour...

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A brown earthy orange beer with a big off-white head. Medium retention. Good lacing. Spicy aroma, caramel, herbs, roast, light biscuit and fruit. Medium spicy dry bitter, light sweet. Refreshing ! Medium body and texture. Good carbonation. Bitter finish with a sweet note. Overall, a great belgian spicy bitter ale. Nice balance.

33cl bottle. Hazy amber body with a billowy off-white head. Simple nose is yeast-dominant (apple esters, pepper phenols), bready / grainy with just-noticeable alcohol. Medium-full body, sweet, a little lactic and sour with moderate bitterness and relatively high acid. Starchy and sugary finish.

Bottle @ Vliegend Varken, Leuven. Cloudy amber colour, white foam. Aroma of caramel and dried fruit with light hoppy finish. Sweet with bitter aftertaste. Well balanced beer. Very good.
