DocLock (9242) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 17, 2006
Bottle from Super Saver. Pours turbid North Carolina brown mud colored. The aroma is vinous, red grapey, with more fruit, some caramel malt, brown sugar, and floral hints. Tastes semi-dry, with some caramelly malt hints, plus cabernet, brown sugar, fruit, yeast, and honey, plus a dash of spice. It gets drier as it warms. As with the Quintine Blond, this one has a lot of sediment at the bottom of the bottle, with a corresponding increase in the aroma and flavor layers and complexity. Both the Quintine Blond and Ambree have impressed me. I’ll be on the lookout for the Stout.

Cloudy brown colors with floaters, minimal sized off-white head. Very weak aroma, some caramel and that’s it. Taste is great. Hazelnut, rum cake, biscuit, dried fruit, very nice and unusual. Soft carbonation, medium body. //bottle at Craft Room

Roasty, dried fruits, thin tan head not persistant, amber/copper, medium/full body, law carbonation, taste of cereals, notes of coffee, dried fruits, oily feel, not too bitter with alcohol in the aftertaste...extraordinary.

Demens (111) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAR 10, 2016
0,33l bottle. Hazy dark copper colour with slowly shrinking off-white head. Aroma: canady sugar, dessert like. Taste:Sweet rosty malt taste but not the usual way. The sweetness is not harsh and blanced with bitterness. The texture is butter like and the taste has elements of butter too. Sweet mouthful. Complex and rich taste. Medium/full body with soft carbonation. Long bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, toffee, a bit sugary, some dried fruity and spicy/herbal notes. Flavour is above medium sweet with a light to moderate bittersweet finish. Body is medium. Fairly smooth, somewhat like a light Barley Wine. Not bad.
