Murky apple cider appearance with swirlings of yeast and sediment. Dregs on the bottom. Small tiny bubbled head, sticky and leaves a good dose of lace. Little, if any, carbonation (looks like an English Strong Ale). Aroma of dough, sherry, brown sugar or maple syrup and yeast. Chunky body loaded with yeast and molasses or brown sugar. Mellow but it has an herby/sour twang to it. Nice warming ABV you could feel in your throat on the first sip. Doughy malts are thinnish but leave a good aftertaste. Nice mix of flavors, with the sweetness being carried by the alcohol spiciness. Tastes very fresh, with some spicy hops wavering in and out as well. Very complex. Finishes with some burnt toffee and bitter sweetness. Wow! Talk about complex.

Bottle. Pours amber with a small white head. Notes of strawberries, caramel and hay. Slightly spicy. Has got that certain quaffable Ellezellise lightness. Sticky, "ice creamy" and smooth texture.

330 ml botttle at de Wiering in Leuven. Pours a hazy brown with medium persistent head. Very light nose - hops, malt and caramel. Hoppy taste up front wtih bitter finish. Some malt and floral notes. A bit acidic - perhaps too cold. A bit off balance.

Bouteille de 33cl. Belle couleur orangée, légèrement trouble, mousse assez abondante et de belle tenue. Pas excessivement aromatique mais c’est une bière fraîche, légère (malgrè 8,5%), printannière et désaltérante. Très houblonnée avec une belle amertume en fin de bouche et un côté végétal qui n’est pas sans rappeller une saison. Carbonnation moyenne, belle longueur. A déguster en après midi ou en soirée mais pas vraiment au cours d’ un repas je trouve. Trouvée à Roby - Menin

Aroma van perzik en karamel; volle en zoete smaak die plaats maakt voor een hopbittere nasmaak.

Amber beer with large diminishing white head and medium carbonation. Malty caramalised aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is malty roasted sweet ending bitter hoppy hinted.

Bottle. I had this just after a 3.9% English bottle conditioned beer which was very similar in looks and taste profile and body, but less sugary and with more hop balance. Coming to this after Sleaford Pale Ale reveals the weakness in this beer. It’s OK, but is unnecessarily strong, is too sugary, lacks appropriate hop balance, and costs twice as much.

Deep Pumpkin-brown color. Thick milky head with lacing on glass. The nose is spicy cinnamon, apples. The tastes is initially bitter, with a reasonable astringent kick. The finish is slightly sweet. The palate is nicely rounded, medium with a somewhat oily texture. Overall a nice effort, this beer would definitely go well with cheese or other foods with assertive flavors.
