3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Rastacouere (5923) - Montréal, - SEP 21, 2007
Enormous pop greets us upon opening, that’s a gusher! It nonetheless appears gorgeous, a cloudy golden shade with an enormous, lasting white foam that clings to the glass. Unspiced apparently. Just purely yeasty and rather fresh tasting ingredients. Slightly wheaty saison with a firm noble hop bite. Not funky, but certainly not dull, totally farmhouse-like in its yeastiness. Authentic high effervescence, foamy, yet medium bodied. Highly drinkable, delicious pils malt extraction and almost juicy hops. Great stuff.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Grima (1573) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2012
The beer in the glass is strong golden yellow with a soapy-pearly head. It smells dominant malty, slightly sweet and fruity. Starts hoppy, floral, very fruity, balanced sweet-sour. The middle part is fruity-sweet, surprisingly hoppy and slightly yeasty in the background. Goes into a fruity-sweet-sour finish with grassy aroma hops. Might as well pass as a german Kristallweizen!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 19, 2011
Fruchtiger, leicht hefiger, lecker hopfiger Geruch. Hopfiger Antrunk, leicht malziger Unterton.

3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 kschep (1494) - DENMARK - MAY 3, 2011

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Svesse (4392) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAR 7, 2011
(Bottle, Monk’s Café Wallingatan, Stockholm) Amber colour, slightly hazy, with brief frothy beige head. Malty, spicy nose with dried fruit, hints of yeast and cinnamon, and some earthy/woody aromas. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of dark bread, dried fruit, yeast, spicy hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Mild bitterness in a spicy finish. Medium body, fairly sweet. Compared to most saisons it’s more spicy and sweet than grassy and bitter. Still, a nice beer.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 merlin48 (656) - New Tazewell, Tennessee, USA - DEC 31, 2010
13.2 ounce swing-top bottle pours a murky orange/brown body with a lot of "floaties" in suspension. Small offwhite head leaves some patchy lace. Aroma has caramel, toffee, green apples, herbal hops, and nutmeg. Medium body is undercarbonated and a bit syrupy. Taste has an overabundance of caramel sweetness. Herbal hop bitterness is present but struggles to balance. Dark fruits add even more sweetness. Becomes cloying and difficult to finish. Not at all refreshing or enjoyable, even when granting all appropriate latitude to the style.
