Aroma was of strong wheat, and fruit. Flavor was very wheaty (in a tripel?), lots of strong fruits, and a bit of nuttyness. It was a very odd tripel but not bad.

I usually only rate when it knocks my socks off. This one knocked them off alright.....and stuffed the gym laden sweaty cotton foot coverings back down my throat. Bleeech! Not at all what I would expect from this usually great brewpub. Decaying pears and apples with flies circling in squadrons. Super sweet carboanted sugar water. I like Hopscotch understand how difficult it can be to brew this style, but still, this is just NOT good. I struggled to just finish the glass. Had I been sitting a bit closer to the restroom, it just might have been a urinal pour. The sink drain would have been too good for it!

Murky, golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aroma is spicy, fruity and sweet. The flavor is cloyingly sweet. Totally unbalanced. Tastes like spiced-cooked apples. Cinnamon and clove. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Lengthy, sweet, spicy finish. I applaud any American brewery which attempts to brew such a tough style, but this one is just not a good representation of the style.
