This was a very decent dunkel, almost a black color, very smooth and drinkable.

strongpieman (1387) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - DEC 16, 2011
Draft. Medium brown, thin head. I did not enjoy this one much... taste was off, too sour. There are better choices to enjoy at Ellicott Mills.

Goes well after drinking a mazen when its not that hot out. Overall I would have to say this the best among their staple beers.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 4/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 11/20
arventresca (538) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 23, 2009
Dark brown and full bodied like the description. I just thought that this was another weak beer from the brewer. If was drinkable, just not a great dunkel.

hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JUL 5, 2009
dark copper colored pour is a bit hazy with a slightly off white ring of lace. it smells like honey, caramel cream and grain. the flavor is the same combined with a spicy dry finish. it is medium bodied with a smooth mouth feel from low carbonation.
