Nov 27, 2007 On tap @ the brewpub-Best beer I had here on this trip, not that that’s saying all that much. Dark amber color w/a slight head. Roasted malt aroma, w/traces of sweet caramel & spice. At least this one was drinkable/enjoyable. Dry spicy finish.

dark amber, whispy tan head, nice lace, faint rich sweet carmel malt aroma with earthy hops, old and sour malt flavor from a keg that must be older then the musty dark basement bar where it’s served

Ungstrup (10853), Frederiksberg, Denmark
Feb 11, 2007 Draft at the brewpub, July 2006. A deep red beer with a thin light brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and light notes of fruit and diacethyl. The flavor is sweet malty with a good deal of caramel, leading to a dry and slightly bitter end, where the notes of fruits and berries carries thru, but are mixed with light diacethyl notes.

Dec 10, 2006 On tap at the brewery. Deep brown with an off white head. Aroma is malty. Flavor is of hops, slightly sweet and a small tang/bitter ending. Good, but nothing to write home about.

Dec 9, 2006 Dark walnut brown, one-finger khaki head. Dark syrup, slightly musty, bockish aroma. Tangy sweet, bock malty. Light bittering. Great pairing with the sausage dinner. Solid, but it needs some ooomph. Maybe a stiffer dose of German hops.
