2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I had a 4oz sample of this beer at the 2012 Frederick Beer Festival. The beer had a dark brown/black color with a dark tan hue and an average creamy dark tan head with good retention and lacing, and average cling. Its aroma feature malty notes with a touch of chocolate and some light earthy hops. The beer had a light sweet malt taste with a subtle touch of bitterness. It was a wet beer, which was too watery, and had a light mouthfeel with low carbonation.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours dark with nice head. Taste is very roasted. Almost burnt. More of a nut brown type flavor than a typical Oatmeal Stout. Not bad but interesting for the style.
