Commercial Description:
A Dry Stout. It is our lightest bodied beer as well as our lowest in alcohol we produce. Much like Guiness, our Black Jack offers more roast notes with de-bittered patent malt flavor. Served on nitrogen to produce a rich, creamy head.

draft- nice- little in the way of carbonation which is the bar’s fault- I did not find this to be all that dry. Nice porter like qualities- chocolate, coffee flavors- not much in the way of roast, but tasty regardless.

On tap @ brewpub (on nitro) - Pours a dark brown color with a nice light tan creamy head. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt and chocolate. Medium body. The beer was smooth and not too dry. My favorite of the beers I tried at the brewpub.

Even medium bodied. Nice roast flavor that isn’t overbearing. Not a whole lot to it, but not offensive

Tap at McGregor’s. Pours dark brown with tan creamy head (classic Guinness appearance). Aroma was negligible. Notable chocolate notes. Roasted malt flavors are more apparent this year. If directly compared to Guinness, I will take this as a session stout any day.

[nitro draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Very nice looking... creamy tan head on top of a black pour. The aroma was a little stale, kind of like burnt hops mixed with some ash. The taste wasn’t all that great. Very ashy and thin, even for a nitro. Some roasted malts and chocolate in it, but not enough for me. I think I might be done with the nitro stouts.
