Pours a clear golden with a almost non-existen white head. The aroma has a light spice and blueberry notes. Flavor is lightly spicey with a hint of blueberry but little else is noted.

On Tap at Pop’s Sports Bar and Grill in Springville, NY. Normally I avoid the lighter colored beers, but this one looked interesting when a friend of mine ordered it a couple months ago. This was also the first Ellicottville Brewing Company beer that I tried. I was pleasantly suprised. The blueberry smell and flavor is definitely present but not overwhelming. The hops kick in at the finish to provide a nice balance. Definitely one I will have to come back to.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a transparent golden with a thin ring of white head. Aroma boasts good fresh blueberries and a touch of doughy pale malt. Smells like a blueberry muffin. Body starts with a good light malty sweetness and fruity balance toward a thinner finish. A pretty decent fruit beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle. Pours a brilliant clear gold with a massive white head that is fed for quite a while by lots of carbonation bubbles. Pleasant aroma of blueberries and a bit of the wheat. The flavor was not overrun by the blueberries, which I enjoyed. There was also a bit of wheat and some light hops bitterness at the finish. Light on the palate and very refreshing.

Bottle........exchange with Chucks66. Pours a dark amber hue, with a sweet aroma of blueberry muffins. Very thin taste, slightly sweet with a watered down taste of blueberries.

Bottle. Yup - blueberries. Thin, bright, yellow, fizzy, a bit watery. Strange peppery flavor is present and misplace. All in all its not bad but certainly not a repeat purchase.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: NOV 2, 2007 On draught at Gallo’s Tap Room in Columbus. The beer is a clear bright yellow color with a thin white head that dissapears quickly. Spotty lacing. The aroma is wheat and blueberries. Light body with mild sweet blueberry, wheat and grain flavors. Flavor starts off alright but there is a definite off flavor of soap and metal here and there. The finish is sweet blueberry with a touch of hops. Slightly below average overall.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a vibrant looking yellow with some bubble action. Strong strong blueberry smell. Almost overwhelming. Taste is herb-ilicious, with a strong backbone of blueberry. I can’t even taste the wheat. The aftertaste is almost reminiscent of a certain type of cannabis... very unexpected. Heavily carbonated though. On par with Sea Dog, but definitely a nice fruit beer.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY (June 2007), served from a Unibroue glass at just slightly above fridge temperature. A largish frothy white head forms, dying fairly quickly into a small lasting cap, leaving no lace above the faintly hazy, bubbly gold body....blueberries-in-syrup aroma is quite pleasant as is, but there is little wheaty sourness or indeed any malt noted.....body is tart, fruit is fairly strong throughout, some nice biscuity malts appear midway through the tasting, and even some grassy hops are noted towards the finish...some unpleasant metallic notes mar the whole thing, but the reasonably full yet light, effervescent body helps emeliorate this problem....refreshing and fairly decent fruit beer, overall.
