A strong Blonde Ale aged on American oak for 6 months, the Catt Co. starts our slightly sweet and malty then fades into an awesome array of flavors such as green banana, citrus and vanilla all thanks to the oak. The finish is surprisingly dry thanks to the tannins in the wood, which helps to keep this unsuspectingly high alcohol beer easy to sip on. 8.5 ABV 33 IBU

A: mildly Hazy Golden Straw, mild White Head, almost no lacing S: Citrus, Banana, Mildly Oakey T: Banana, Sweet Orange, mild Vanilla M: Okay Carbonation, Light Bodied, Very Drinkable, Clean, Dry Overall, a very drinkable beer with the sweetest of a blonde ale and mild oakey taste but surprisinly high in alcohol that is easily masked.

Had on draft @ the Ellicottville brewpub in Ellicottville, NY .. . medium sweetness .. light sticky mouth .. touches of oak and syrup .. way to easy to drink, a dangerous tasty beer! .. . . a smoked chicken?

Draft. Pours golden amber with a thin white head. Sweet and fruity aroma, with citrus, vanilla, and a hint of oak. The flavor has sweet malts, citrus, some light spiciness, vanilla, and, again, just a hint of oak. Pretty good.

Tap at Empire Brewing Co guest tap. Pours a hazy light copper-golden with a white head- fades. Aroma is banana, oak, vanilla, harsh phenols, plastic and butter. Flavor is more diacetyl, slick, banana, wheat, toast, phenolic, some green apple, oak, woody, earth, some dirt, grass, with a slick oily butter finish and not dry at all- quite sickly sweet. Not good.
