Had reservations on this based on how EBC throws the word ’bomb’ around (their Hop Bomb lacked any sort of hop aroma/flavor). This, however, is perfectly balanced, has a milk chocolaty creamy body, and just enough cherry aroma/flavor. The higher alcohol is not at all noticeab on the palate, but you do feel it after a couple. I wouldn’t change a thing about this outstanding beer!

Previously draft only, but now released in 12 ounce four packs. Pours a dark brown, looks similar to Coca-Cola, a bit thin, and a small foamy tan head. Aroma was chocolate and fresh roast coffee. Taste followed the nose, with the cherry coming in at the end, but very very mildly. I was pretty surprised by this and thought the taste was superb and enjoyable. Will be looking for more.

A dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with vanilla, cherries, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light cherry, malt balls, ok.

Sample fat bottle share before luminous release. Pours black, small khaki head. Milk chocolate, nuts, sweet cherries. Mildly sweet. Creamy body. Very good.

Growler from Premier Gourmet. Pours a very dark brown with modest, lasting light brown head. Aroma is rich milk and dark chocolate and dark cherry. Flavour is slightly roasty cocoa, milk chocolate, light coffeish notes and fresh cherries do come through. Silky mouthfeel. ABV really not apparent. Nice.

Mild chocolate aroma, pours black with a light tan head. Taste of a dark, rich chocolate with a perfect touch of cherry. Very smooth. By no means complex or mind-boggling, it just does what it does really, really well.

On tap at blue monk. Dark brown, almost black pour. Smells like milk chocolate, with some sweet fruit to it. Thick, really thick body to this beer. Chocolate milk, cherries, very sweet. One glass will do it.

A very dark ale with a reddish hue. The aroma is malty with cherry notes. But the body is awesome with imperial spices and roasted malts. The cherry is not simply an additive but well balanced in the beer. Great drink.

Reddish tinge, flat looking, somewhat clear and dark. Dark choclolate + roasted malt nose. Test is not super rich, Cherry + same stuff as nose in the palate. Very drinkable but hard to believe it is an IS.
