2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 cheap (3374) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 14, 2013
Looks good poured from the bottle, slightly hazy. Fairly clean fresh candy aroma. Interesting name, implies low alky but I think I feel a little warming feeling in the gullet. Seemed to be somewhat sharp at first but I think its dulling as the session continues. Finish is medium apa.

Light on the palate; didn’t expect that out of something called an "ultra pale ale." Grassy, a little citrus, curious mouthfeel, Maybe it’s just me, but I got a little metallic blowback on the finish. Seems like an ok session beer for a summer day, but doesn’t seem at all like a serious pale ale.

Had on draft @ the Ellicottville brewpub in Ellicottville, NY .. . ultra cool! .. almost like a lighter version of summer love .. pours gold .. great lacing .. . crisp .. bits of citrus, summer fruit, and flowers .. . don’t drink and mow, you might hit a water sprinkler or the neighbors cat.. and that is not a fun conversation...

Pours a clear pale yellow/orange with a thin white head. Aroma of light sweet corn and light grassy hops. Flavor of sweet malt and light grassy hops. Better than I expected.

I like this. A tasty ale without the hop bitterness of an IPA. Just enough hoppiness to enjoy and refrwsh. Nice grassy aroma...me likey!

No, I did not Mow before drinking this. The lawn is too burned out. Pours gold with a white head. Light grainy malt aroma with a hint of hops. The flavor is on the lighter side, with a touch of malt and a hint of lemon. Very thin.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 williamherbert (1121) - Syracuse, New York, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Straw-yellow, lots of carbonation. Totally see-through. A finger of fragile head. Lace is scant, slushy.
The pale Euro hops of an English-style ale. Flowery perfume nose, with sweet (but not too sugary malts). Very sharp, very crisp.
The flavor is a sweet, honey-like variety. It’s also crisp like a German lager, but without the bitter finish. Very light.
The feel is slightly prickly at first, then finishes smoothly; appropriate for style. For a summery beer, it does the job. It’s not great, but it is a nice marriage between a "refreshing" summer beer, and one with actual flavor. For that reason, I’ll take it; it’s a nice hybrid for a cookout on a hot Syracuse summer day.

Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of caramel malts and some citrus hops. Flavor is strong of the citrus hops up front. A slightly bitter finish with a hint of some grassy tones. Interesting, a nice session beer.

Pours a clear light yellow with a thinnish white head. Aroma is light, almost nonexistent, maybe a little grassy. I’d guess it was more of a lager from the aroma, but it’s not bad. Flavor is also a bit more lager like. I would expect actually less flavor from an ultra pale ale than is present here. This is decent, though.
