COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
One of our owners favorites. The Prince of Pale is a terrific session beer, meaning you can consume many rounds with your friends without getting too loopy. Lower in alcohol with a mild body, this beer offers a great flavor and hoppy aroma.

On tap @ Fattys - pale orange copper color. Little to no aroma. Thin flavor - smooth and slightly sweet. Soft mouthfeel. Some barely discernable bitterness. No hop flavors. Slightly metallic flavor. Not sure why I ordered a pint.

An amber ale witha thin off white head. A very sweet berryish aroma with nice floral hops, and maple notes. In mouth, a light pale ale with restrained British hops, nice and herbal. Cask at Syracuse Real Ale Festival, Oct. 23 2009.

[On tap at MacGregor’s in Penfield, NY] Ellicottville Pale Ale is a very clear golden ale with a thick, dense white head that leaves great lacing. It has a muted aroma of cascade hops. It is medium bodied and very smooth with a crisp finish. It has a simple balanced flavor of light malt and cascade hops that lean more toward grapefruit than pine. What a great session ale! (Am I rating the correct beer, because this one tasted like an American style Pale?)

Bottle. Dark golden color, okay white head, moderately hoppy nose. Moderately citric, piney, grapefruit, not much malt, bland example of the style.
