MadIndian (987), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 24, 2009 Bottle from craft beer outlet in Phila.
Amber/golden pour with a orange aroma. Mild hoppy taste with a malty finish. It was interesting. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Oct 21, 2009 (bottle - 12 oz) Amber pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is citrusy and hoppy with a lot of flowery notes. Flavor is definitely Southern Tier. Bitter and floral hops with a nice peppery and citrusy middle. Smooth and bitter at the finish. Nice. MarkBarnes (264), Waterville, New York, USA Jul 19, 2009 Updated: Sep 29, 2009July 19, 2009; 12 oz. bottle. Amber color; thin head; sweet aroma, substantial piney, slightly-astringent bitterness; the Southern Tier influence is evident. A lucky find in the local grocery store. Will have one of these anytime. Update on Sept. 17, 2009: Have sampled this several times over the past couple of months and like this more than ever -- an uncommonly good APA. Dreadfully underrated. argo0 (6842), Washington DC, USA Jul 12, 2009 (12oz bottle) Minimal white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, peach/orange, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some peach, bread/caramel. Light-medium body, some acidic crispness, low carbonation. bu11zeye (5430), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 10, 2009 (12oz bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of perfume, passion fruit, lemon, and orange. Flavor of hops (floral, grassy) and light crystal malt with a dry mouthfeel and bitter finish. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA May 4, 2009 Almost clear light amber (orange) in color with a small but lasting white head. In the nose, I get some moderate citrus, as well as some caramelized malts with some lightly nutty malts. Taste is relatively light bodied, with a moderate citrus and floral hop character. Some crystal malts- molasses, and lightly nutty malt body. Bitterness is moderate, lingers a bit and becomes a bit piney in the finish. This is a pretty solid easy drinking APA. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 3, 2009 12oz bottle-pours an off white head and gold color. Aroma is sweet pine/citrus hops. Taste is somewhat bitter pine/herbal hops, some light malt. Thanks jwc215&dmac for picking this out. yobdoog (1420), Woodridge NY, New York, USA Apr 18, 2009 Easy drinking pale. Good solid flavors with a nice balance of sweetness and light hops. Pine, citrus and bread.
