Amber, Cascade aroma; lot of bitterness; not sure if this couldn’t do with some more malts.

(12oz bottle) Minimal white head atop clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, peach/orange, light bread. Taste is medium sweet, orange/grapefruit, some peach, bread/caramel. Light-medium body, some acidic crispness, low carbonation.

(12oz bottle) Pours a clear golden body with a medium creamy white head. Aroma of perfume, passion fruit, lemon, and orange. Flavor of hops (floral, grassy) and light crystal malt with a dry mouthfeel and bitter finish.

12oz bottle-pours an off white head and gold color. Aroma is sweet pine/citrus hops. Taste is somewhat bitter pine/herbal hops, some light malt. Thanks jwc215&dmac for picking this out.

Any first impressions?
-A frail veil floats atop the translucid golden amber.
-Beauteous orangey, leafy, juicy hops dally about for a classic American Pale Ale perfume.
-Authentic orange pulp garnishes the honeyed malts.
-The slick, almost watery maltiness is rustled by tiny, prickly bubbles.

What if you dig deeper?
-Herbal, leafy hop bitterness is there, never imposing itself.
-Modest maltiness increases drinkability, but may bore the taster.
-An approachable A.P.A., unmemorable but it is well-brewed and competently quenches.

Bottle; no date.

TAP- Clody pale ale, with very nice hops in nose. Lighter in bodied, lacking some malts, and maybe overcabonated.

12 ounce bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, NY (June 2007), served from a La Chouffe tulip at cellar temperature. Bright copper-amber in color, quite clear, fair off-white bubbly head dies quickly, bit of lacing....pretty typical citrusy/piney PNW hoppy aroma, a bit of caramel, fresh and pleasant enough but not very forward....rather too sweet and syrupy on the tongue, somewhat flat both in flavor and (a little bit) carbonation, a bit woody and fairly dry at the finish, but the syrupy mouthfeel continues to bother me, there’s little in the way of crispness or easy-drinking quaffability here....not a drain pour by any means, but disappointingly dull.

Their best. Orangey yellow with a fine head. Bitterness apparent. Light mouthfeel, also understated carbonation. I could drink a half pint once. So-so.
