UPDATED: MAR 9, 2005 I used to drink this all the damn time..Color is breathtaking..a golden color with subliminal red tones..
The head always sits tall, rigid, and super frothy..
Aroma is a breathtakingly cherry extacy..I still love this, after all these beerz.. Hoppiness morphs to a childhood experience of the first experience of a fruit cocktail..(lovin those lil’ cherries)..Wam Bam..I mean..this is comin from a brewpub ladies and gents..

draft at brewery. Deliciously cascadey and citrusy. Would like to pick up a few bottles of this stuff, as I enjoyed many pints at the brewery.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2009 July 19, 2009; 12 oz. bottle. Amber color; thin head; sweet aroma, substantial piney, slightly-astringent bitterness; the Southern Tier influence is evident. A lucky find in the local grocery store. Will have one of these anytime. Update on Sept. 17, 2009: Have sampled this several times over the past couple of months and like this more than ever -- an uncommonly good APA. Dreadfully underrated.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really nice almost butterscotch toast smell, without the sweetness of candy. Has an orange amber color and hoppy bite that is a little sharoer than you’d expect based on the aroma. Lingers on the palate with a bitterness.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Presentation: It was poured into a notched pint glass from the tap at the Ellicottville Brew Pub’s Fredonia Location.
Appearance: The body was a perfect amber color with a bright white head. The head slowly faded to just a ring of creamy foam about half way down the glass. At the top it left some nice lacing.
Smell: There was a nice mix of sweet roasty grains and solid citrus/piney hops.
Taste/Palate: It has a good medium body with light bready sweetness, mellow roasted grain and citrusy/piney hops. All this is in good balance with the hops popping out in the finish and leaving some pleasant bitterness to linger briefly on the tongue.
Notes: This is a fine example of a nicely balanced American Pale Ale.

Great colour and a very large pale white head. Great hoppy smell full of the other APA characters. A defintely full flavoured beer full of hop characters. A really balanced APA which anyone should definately try! Tasted at MacGregor's on Tap in Rochester, New York.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2007: Hazy dark orange. Looks thick. Decent rocky head. Good amount of carbonation cuts through the haze. Frosty lace.
Excellent pale smell with a sweet, estery hops smell befitting a mild IPA. It’s a pale for sure, but with a good hop aroma.
More bitter than I expected. Bitter right off the top. Pale malt is a very nice balance to the hops, which get more bitter as it warms up.
Dry, pale malt feel. A tad ashy, but doesn’t detract. Medium thickness. Smooth as it warms. Bitter, slightly sweet, balanced. A good value. A rare bitter "repeater."
