2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, - JUN 19, 2007
Bright medium brown. Light nutty, toasty aroma. Thin, nutty character. The body expands a little bit as it warms (the sugars come more) but it’s a boring one-dimensional brown.

Draft @ Beveridge Place: Dark brown color with a light head. The nose is malty with caramel and light hops. The flavor is clean, balanced and chewy, light toast and biscuit with some creamy doughnut notes in the tail. Balanced hop flavor and finish. Not bad.

Dark brown with molasses/mahogany tinges and little head. Nutty, medium roast barley and hops in the nose. Ok malt and hop mix, PNW influenced. Well-balanced, with medium body. A pretty ho-hum brown ale.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 18, 2007
Deep mahogany with a foamy head colored light tan. The nose comes out nicley with a touch of hazelnut and toasted malts. The flavor is also compirsed of a creamy, nuttiness. Reminds me of a thinner bodied Rogue Hazelnut Brown.

Draft at the Burien pub. Deep dark brown but crystal clear. Rubied with highlights. Fairly mild nose, maybe a bit of yeast and light brown sugar. Mild body and soft carb with light flavors on the mid-palate. Fairly vacant finish. No flaws, solid enough, but not too much to set it apart, either.
