Bigwood 2008. Hazy copper with a frothy tan head. Aroma is vanilla, bourbon, with spicy caramel. A mild to medium tart flavor of lemon, cherry tones down to a mellow soft caramel vanilla and whiskey to finish. The malty base tempers the both the boozy sweet whiskey and sour flavors here. Not too bad.

4/4/09 on draft at the Exbeerience. Aroma is quite sweet, tart with a bready malt background. Appearance is hazy brown with almost no head. Flavor is highly fruity and somewhat tart with high sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, yet somehow a bit watery with moderate carbonation. Overall, a bit too sweet for me, but highly complex.

On tap at Brouwer’s Seattle. Pours out a hazy brown with some orange highs. Topped with a nice tan head. Aroma of sweetness all over the place some spice and fruit. Tast was light tartness (if this is even a word) Plenty apples and more sweetness. Pretty cool.

Tap at WABL Party. Apple cider nose with light spicy yeast and a touch of funky tartness. Cloudy brown orange pour. The flavor is tart and citric followed by nice fruity esters. Funky horseblanket comes in the finish. This one was fruity almost to the point of being like a cider with funk to me. Granny smith apples would be on point. Lots of brett. This one tastes waaaayyyy better than it smells.
