A dry-hopped IPA modeled after many of the Northern California IPAs that I grew accustomed to tasting and brewing in San Francisco. Some qualities that distinguish it from the Elliott Bay IPA are: different malts lend a biscuit and nutty flavor, different yeast also adds a nutty flavor as well as a drier/cleaner character than the house yeast, different hops and being dry hopped adds a fresh and strong aroma which and is what really defines the style. It’s meant to be a session beer: average alcohol, easy drinking but still big on flavor and aroma.

On tap @ Elliott Bay West Seattle. Pours dark orangish copper with thin off-white head. Aroma is dark oaky carmaker malt with earthy bitter hops on the back. Taste is similar: malt is roasty and biscuity with big mouthfeel for its body. Hops are somewhat fresh with dark citrus and dry light herbal notes. Nice fresh local IPA.

Clear orange, white head. Hoppy aroma, a little bready grain, but mostly floral, citrus hops. Tastes similar, hop dominated with a little sweet malty start, lots of floral and citrus hops, moderately bitter pine finish. Tasty hoppiness with a nice level of aromatics.

Tap at Naked City. The aroma is nice and hoppy. Some grapefruit, wood, and perfume. Light toasty malt, but mostly hoppy. Pours a orange amber with a thin bubbly head. The flavor is hoppy. initially woody, then floral, pine, grapefruit. A touch of toasty sweetness. Pretty decent lingering hoppy finish. Medium resiny, dry bitter. Pretty good.
