Commercial Description: The Holiday version of Elliott Bay’s popular Westside Wit. This dark Belgian Wit beer falls between Elliott Bay’s No Doubt Stout and Noir Von Boorian, with just a touch of Luna Weizen. More “chocolaty” than the Noir and lighter in body than the Stout, this beer is a nice contrast to the stronger winter beers out there. Spiced with fresh orange peel, raisins, fresh ginger, and cloves and very lightly hopped with Styrian Goldings.
Dark and murky brown with a small head and decent lacing. Small spices in the nose with a little yeast. Some roasts and hints of orange citrus. Also notes of chocolate malts and wheat. Full bodied with a malty/yeasty finish. Doesn’t look a damn thing like a wit, but eh, I thought it was all right.
