mooth yet robust with hints of roasted coffee. Hops do not dominate this style. Instead, a smooth creaminess lingers as a result of the use of flaked oats in the mash. Parts of the bitter character of this beer comes from the roasted barley. Rich, robust, and silky smooth, our stout sports a malty aroma and mild bitterness. Stouts are black ales that owe their character to roasted barley. They originated from England, Ireland, Russia, and Scandinavia and are found in “dry” (Guinness), “sweet,” “imperial,” and “oatmeal” varieties. Our stout is most like an oatmeal stout. Most stouts, aside from the “imperial” type, are not the thick, syrupy, high-alcohol beers that many people believe them to be.

Good stout but honestly tastes a little bit weak. I understand, they're growing. Not creamy, almost cola-ish...

Flavor profile is typical Irish style dry stout but the addition of oats makes a longer finish. Good chocolate and coffee notes. Body is still a little light. All in all a good beer.

Black pour with a sturdy and lasting light khaki head. Chocolaty creamy nose with a touch of coffee. Wonderful flavor with roast and earthy coffee and a bittersweet chocolaty note. Not shabby but kinda forgettable.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color. Nose is roasty, as you’d expect. Feels fairly smooth on the palate, with some toasting and roastiness to the taste. All in all, this was a run of the mill stout for me.
